| so it's been entirely too long since i've written on this thing... my life is ridiculous right now, and i have a lot to say, but nothing much that i want the whole world to know about just yet. talk to me if you're really interested. | | |
| ok, so i typed up this amazing, super-long post yesterday and then my internet crashed right when i tried to post it and i lost it all. i'm so mad. i'll give you the summary.
tish and i drove to columbus on friday (i drove the whole way there, i was so proud of myself) to get her sister, who's staying with us for the week. so, blah blah, we pick up jessie and we're on our way back and we're trying to stop for gas right before we leave columbus. so we try to make this right turn and this idiot tried to make a right turn right when we did too and rear-ended us. in my brand-spankin-new car. my baby. my favorite possession. my so-sexy-i-would-make-love-to-it car. everybody's fine, no one was hurt except my car. it now has a dent the size of john kerry's head in my bumper. i'm really really sad about it. i'm very thankful no one was hurt, but now i have to deal with insurance people, which was something i'd never thought about. i always just assumed that your car magically repairs itself after an accident, but now i realize that is definitely not the case. hrm.
tish is pretty upset about it too, cause she has a $110 ticket and 2 points on her license. not so fun.
i'll post a picture of the dent in my car sometime this week. it's actually pretty intense. | | |
| so ready for school to start. can't take summer anymore. it was fun for like two weeks and now it's just so monotonous. two classes, two jobs... can't wait for it to be over... 3 more weeks of class, and then a week of just work, then a week of band camp, then school starts. so excited! it's just so lonely over the summer... | | |
| i must now construct a book shrine. a harry potter book 1 first edition sold for $18,000. i can't believe it. i own one of those. i'm gonna have to thank my mom for making such a great investment without knowing it. she bought it in the fall of 1998 when it came out simply because she'd heard it was good, and now it's worth between 10 and 20 grand, cause apparently there were only between 500 and 1000 printed. and it's sitting on my bookcase.
